About the role

Winapps Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical QA Automation Tester to join our software development team. The ideal candidate should have experience in software testing, test automation, bug reporting, and quality assurance to ensure reliable, high-quality software applications.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile applications.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and end-to-end testing.
  • Create and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on project requirements.
  • Automate test cases using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
  • Perform API testing using Postman or similar tools.
  • Identify, document, track, and report software defects using bug-tracking tools.
  • Validate application functionality, usability, performance, and compatibility across browsers and devices.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project managers to resolve issues.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and release testing.
  • Maintain test documentation and prepare test execution reports.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines where required.
  • Explore AI-powered testing tools to improve test coverage and testing efficiency.

Required technical skills

  • Automation tools: Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
  • Programming languages: Java, Python, or JavaScript.
  • API testing: Postman, REST API testing, and JSON validation.
  • Manual testing: Functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
  • Bug tracking: Jira or similar defect-management tools.
  • Web technologies: Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web application architecture.
  • Database testing: Basic SQL queries and database validation.
  • Version control: Git and GitHub.
  • Additional advantage: CI/CD tools, performance testing with JMeter, mobile automation with Appium, and AI-assisted testing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, IT, or a related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in QA testing or test automation.
  • Strong understanding of the software testing life cycle (STLC) and software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Ability to write test cases, automate test scenarios, and analyze test results.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
