# Legacy SaaS platform modernised to microservices

An ageing SaaS platform had performance bottlenecks at peak load, high maintenance costs and code that made new features slow to ship. A cloud-native rebuild on containerised microservices with CI/CD, stronger encryption, subscription management and a refreshed UI.

## The challenge

A SaaS provider's platform had aged badly. It slowed down at peak usage, cost a lot to maintain, lacked mobile access and modern integrations, and its legacy code made every new feature slow and risky. Security updates were overdue.

## Our approach

We moved the platform to microservices in Docker containers orchestrated by Kubernetes, so each part scales and ships on its own. CI/CD with automated test pipelines made releases faster and safer.

Along the way we strengthened data encryption, tuned performance, added subscription management and refreshed the user interface.
